The Pass Creek Yurt is set in a peaceful drainage at 10, 250’ in the southern Rocky Mountains. This 20’ yurt is situated in a large sunny clearing in a valley populated with Engleman Spruce, Alpine and Cork Bark Fir, wild flowers, two year-round creeks, birds, deer, and elk. Historic logging roads lead to the Continental Divide Trail 1000’ above and provide miles of hiking, strolling, mountain biking, or just sitting still to drink in the surroundings. The previously logged (50 years ago) areas provide sunny, more open forest, while the neighboring untouched forests are cool and dark.

Your holiday begins with a 5 mile drive up a well-maintained gravel USFS road. After parking your car at the large pull-off, don your packs and stroll or cycle one mile along a secluded, wide grassy forest road to the Yurt, passing wildflowers, open forest, and a creek, gently gaining about 200’ along the way.

Upon arriving at the Pass Creek Yurt, set your packs and selves down on the south-facing deck, and allow the cacophony of cell phones, computers, and vehicle traffic of normal life fade into the distance. Instead only the sounds of a raven calling, the breeze through the trees, or complete silence attend you.

You will find everything you need at the Yurt for a comfortable, backcountry stay.
