Your Winter Stay at the Pass Creek Yurt
At the Pass Creek Yurt you will find: futon bunk beds and pillows for 6, two propane lanterns, tables and chairs, a smoke alarm and fire extinguisher. There is a four-burner propane cook stove, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, dishwashing supplies, and a large pot for melting snow for water on the woodstove. Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, matches are supplied. Split firewood, kindling, and newspaper are stored under the yurt and accessed through a trap door in the floor.
FAQs: Salt & pepper, #6 Melita coffee cone (no filters), two 4-cup French coffee presses, large fry pan, griddle, cheese grater, knives, sharpener, corkscrew, can opener, bottle opener. (There are NO first aid supplies). Colorful Crocs are provided as hut shoes. You Bring: Warm sleeping bag, appropriate clothing, personal items, food, beverages, first aid kit, repair kit, and a headlamp. Experience Necessary: If you are not experienced in winter travel and hut living, consult your local mountaineering shop for a recommended equipment list. Please Note: The Pass Creek Yurt is located in an area where snowfall can be heavy, making for difficult and slow trail-breaking. Poor visibility may require map & compass skills to locate the Yurt. Plan Accordingly! Do not underestimate the difficulty of winter travel in the backcountry, or overestimate the skill of your party. Dogs are not allowed at the Pass Creek Yurt as snow melt is your water source. |
